Natalie Gretton was born in 1945 and lives in Trentham, Victoria. She joined the Royal Australian Air Force and after marrying Mike, she and their two sons travelled extensively in Australia and other parts of the world as his career dictated. Natalie completed a Bachelor of Arts at Deakin University as a mature age student. Her interest in history and particularly the medieval period was the reason for writing this novel. On one family holiday, a metal figurine named The Ghost Warrior was purchased in Whitby, North Yorkshire and became the villain in The Healer of Marchmont.
